Cancellation and refunds.
Last updated: 13 October 2026
We believe personal growth should be a choice, not an obligation.
Whether you're exploring a membership, joining a workshop or investing in a deeper experience, we want you to feel confident about your commitment.
Life changes. Priorities shift. Sometimes something simply isn't the right fit.
That's why we've made our cancellation and refund policy straightforward, flexible and fair.
1. The short version
Here's what you can expect from us:
- Cancel anytime. No complicated processes, uncomfortable conversations or pressure to stay.
- Keep what you've paid for. Your membership remains accessible until your paid period ends.
- Pause instead. Need some space? Pause your membership for one, two or three months.
- Know where you stand. Refund conditions are explained before you purchase.
- Your rights are protected. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Our goal is simple: make joining easy, staying worthwhile and leaving uncomplicated.
2. Memberships — Bronze, Silver & Gold
Our memberships are designed to give you flexibility as your circumstances and needs change.
Monthly memberships
You can cancel your monthly membership at any time.
When you cancel:
- Your membership won't renew.
- You'll retain access until the end of your current paid billing period.
- No further membership payments will be taken.
- Unused portions of a billing period are not normally refunded unless required by law.
There are no additional cancellation fees.
Annual memberships
Annual memberships provide access for 12 months from your payment date, excluding any approved pause periods.
If you change your mind within 14 days of your first annual payment, we'll provide a full refund.
After 14 days:
- You can cancel automatic renewal at any time.
- Your access continues until your paid membership expires.
- Your membership will not renew unless you choose to reactivate it.
- We don't ordinarily provide partial refunds for unused months, except where required by law.
Annual renewal protection
We'll email you at least 14 days before your annual membership renews.
If your membership renews and you decide not to continue, you can request a full refund within 14 days of the renewal payment.
Pausing your membership
Sometimes you don't need to quit. You just need a break.
You can pause your membership for one, two or three months.
During your pause:
- No membership payments are taken.
- Your membership access is temporarily suspended.
- Your progress, saved information and personal work remain available when you return.
- Your next billing date moves forward by the length of your pause.
- Any applicable founding-member rate is preserved.
Your membership automatically resumes at the end of your selected pause period.
You can also choose to cancel while paused.
Changing membership tiers
You're free to move between Bronze, Silver and Gold.
Upgrading: Your new benefits become available immediately. You'll pay only the prorated difference for the remainder of your current billing period.
Downgrading: Your current benefits remain available until your next billing date, when your new tier and price take effect.
Founding-member pricing
If you joined through a founding-member offer, your founding rate remains valid while your membership continues.
Pausing your membership won't remove your founding rate.
If you cancel completely and later decide to rejoin, the membership prices available at that time will apply.
Failed payments
If a payment fails, we'll notify you and attempt to process it again.
If payment remains unsuccessful after 14 days, your membership may be suspended or cancelled.
You can reactivate your membership whenever you're ready.
We don't charge additional failed-payment penalties.
3. Gifted Memberships
Personal growth can be a meaningful gift.
Our gifted memberships are prepaid and do not automatically renew.
Redeeming a gift
- Gift membership codes remain valid for three years from the date of purchase.
- The membership period begins when the recipient activates their gift.
- The recipient receives access for the full gifted duration.
- The membership ends automatically when that period finishes.
- The recipient will never be charged unless they independently choose to purchase a membership.
Gift refunds
The original purchaser can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, provided the gift hasn't been redeemed.
Once redeemed, refunds are available where required under Australian Consumer Law.
If a gift code doesn't work or the purchased membership cannot be provided, we'll resolve the problem or provide the remedy you're legally entitled to.
4. Live Courses
Our live courses are designed to provide structured learning, practical exercises and meaningful opportunities for personal development.
Individually purchased courses
If you've purchased a live course separately from your membership, the following refund conditions apply.
Before the course begins
You can request a full refund up to seven days before the first live session.
After the course begins
We understand that sometimes you need to experience something before knowing whether it's right for you.
If you attend the first session and decide the course isn't a suitable fit, contact us before the second session begins.
We'll provide a full refund.
Once the second session has begun, change-of-mind refunds are not ordinarily available, except where required by law.
If you continue with the course, you'll retain access to the recordings supplied as part of your purchase.
Where a full refund is provided, your access to the course and recordings will end.
Courses included with Gold membership
Eligible live courses are included as part of your Gold membership.
Your access continues while your Gold membership remains active and you meet any applicable course enrolment requirements.
If your Gold membership ends or you move to another tier, your included access ends unless you've separately purchased the course.
If we cancel or significantly reschedule a course
If we cancel a course or move it to dates that no longer work for you, you can choose between:
- A full refund of the amount you paid for that course.
- Transferring to the rescheduled course.
- Receiving credit towards another course, if you prefer.
We'll never require you to accept credit instead of a refund you're entitled to.
5. Workshops
Our workshops are designed to create practical, engaging experiences in a supportive environment.
We understand that plans sometimes change.
Cancelling your workshop booking
More than 48 hours before the workshop
You can cancel for a full refund.
Within 48 hours of the workshop
Change-of-mind refunds are not ordinarily available, but you can:
- Transfer your place to another person.
- Request a transfer to a future workshop, subject to availability.
We won't charge an administration fee for these changes.
If an unexpected emergency prevents you from attending, contact us. We'll consider your circumstances and do our best to find a reasonable solution.
If we cancel a workshop
If we cancel a workshop, you can choose a full refund or transfer to another available workshop.
If we significantly change the date or location and you're unable to attend, you can request a full refund.
6. Private Coaching
Private coaching is offered through an application process to help establish whether the experience is appropriate for your goals and circumstances.
We want coaching to be a deliberate commitment, with clear expectations on both sides.
Payments and cancellations
Coaching is billed monthly, unless another payment arrangement has been agreed upon.
You can end your coaching arrangement by providing 30 days' notice.
During your notice period:
- Any already scheduled coaching sessions may continue.
- You'll only be charged for services falling within the agreed notice period.
- We won't automatically charge you for another full month if your notice period ends partway through it.
- Any prepaid amount for services not provided beyond the notice period will be refunded, subject to any lawful and agreed cancellation charges.
Rescheduling appointments
Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to reschedule an individual session.
With sufficient notice, we'll arrange another available time.
Sessions missed without notice or cancelled within 24 hours may be counted as used.
We understand emergencies happen and will consider exceptional circumstances individually.
If we need to cancel
If your coach needs to cancel a session, we'll arrange a suitable replacement time.
If a replacement cannot be agreed upon, you'll receive a refund or credit for the session, according to your preference and applicable legal rights.
Important distinction
Coaching is intended to support personal development, self-understanding, practical change and greater alignment in your life.
It is not a replacement for psychological therapy, psychiatric treatment, medical diagnosis or emergency mental health care.
If you're experiencing a mental health crisis, contact Lifeline on 13 11 14, or call 000 in an emergency.
7. Retreats
Retreats require considerable planning, accommodation arrangements, venue commitments and preparation.
We aim to balance flexibility for participants with the genuine costs involved in organising these experiences.
Securing your place
Once your application has been accepted, a deposit of 10% of the retreat price secures your booking.
The remaining balance is due 60 days before the retreat begins, unless you've arranged an instalment plan.
Any additional payment arrangements will be explained before you commit.
Cancelling more than 90 days before the retreat
You'll receive a refund of all payments made, less the 10% deposit.
We'll refund the deposit as well if we successfully fill your place at the same price and have no remaining unrecoverable booking costs.
We won't retain more than our reasonable costs and losses arising from your cancellation.
Cancelling between 60 and 89 days before the retreat
You'll receive a refund of at least 50% of the total amount you've paid.
We may refund more where our actual, reasonable and unrecoverable costs are lower.
Any deposit already paid forms part of the amount retained, rather than being charged again.
Cancelling less than 60 days before the retreat
At this stage, accommodation, venue and other arrangements may already be committed.
Any cancellation charges will reflect reasonable costs and losses that cannot be recovered.
We'll refund amounts that exceed those costs.
Where possible, you may also:
- Transfer your place to another person who meets the retreat's participation requirements.
- Request a one-time transfer to a future retreat, subject to availability and any unavoidable price difference.
We'll make reasonable efforts to fill a cancelled place and reduce any resulting loss.
If we cancel or significantly change a retreat
If we cancel the retreat, you'll receive a full refund of all payments made directly to us.
If we significantly change the dates, location or essential nature of the retreat, and the replacement arrangements are unsuitable, you may request a full refund.
Alternatively, you may choose to transfer your booking to another available retreat.
Travel arrangements
We recommend suitable travel insurance, particularly for retreats involving flights, accommodation or significant travel expenses.
Unless expressly included in your retreat booking, independently purchased travel costs are your responsibility.
This does not affect any rights you may have to recover reasonably foreseeable losses under Australian Consumer Law.
8. Pay-It-Forward Places
We believe personal growth opportunities should be accessible to people experiencing financial hardship.
Our pay-it-forward option allows members of our community to sponsor another person's participation.
Sponsorship refunds
You can request a full refund within 14 days of making a sponsorship contribution, provided it hasn't yet been allocated to a recipient.
Once a sponsored place has been assigned, the contribution is committed to that person's participation.
Change-of-mind refunds are not ordinarily available after allocation, although your rights under Australian Consumer Law continue to apply.
If we're unable to provide the sponsored place, we'll offer an appropriate refund or alternative arrangement.
9. How to Cancel or Request a Refund
We don't believe you should have to justify a decision to leave.
Membership cancellation
To cancel or pause your membership:
- Log in to your account.
- Open Account → Billing and select Cancel Membership or Pause Membership.
You'll receive confirmation of your request and the date your access or billing changes take effect.
You don't need to call, email or speak to anyone to cancel your membership.
Refund requests
For courses, workshops, coaching, retreats, gifts or other purchases, contact us through the Contact page on our website.
Please include:
- Your name.
- The email address associated with your purchase.
- The product or service you purchased.
- A brief explanation of your request.
We aim to respond within two business days.
Refund processing
Once a refund is approved:
- We'll normally initiate it within five business days.
- Refunds are returned to your original payment method wherever possible.
- Depending on your bank or payment provider, funds generally appear within five to ten business days after processing.
Refunds owed under Australian Consumer Law will be handled within the time required by law.
10. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Your rights matter, regardless of which membership, course, workshop, coaching arrangement or retreat you purchase.
Our services come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
These include requirements that services be provided with due care and skill and be reasonably fit for their disclosed purpose.
If a service has a major failure, you may be entitled to cancel the service contract and receive a refund for the unused portion, or compensation for its reduced value.
You may also be entitled to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
Where a failure is not major, you're entitled to have the problem addressed within a reasonable time. If it isn't, you may be entitled to cancel and receive an appropriate refund.
Nothing in this policy removes, restricts or replaces your statutory consumer rights.
Any cancellation conditions, notice periods, deposits or refund limitations described above operate subject to those rights.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our services, operations or legal obligations.
The current version will always be available on our website.
If we make a significant change affecting an existing paid arrangement, we'll communicate it clearly.
Changes will not retrospectively remove benefits or refund rights you've already acquired.
Our Commitment
We want you to be here because the experience is genuinely valuable to you.
Not because cancelling is difficult.
Not because you've been locked into something.
And not because you feel obligated to continue.
Your growth is your choice. We'll respect that at every stage.
